The Childs Farm | North Salem, IN: This ranks as one of my favorite sessions I photographed in 2021. It might be because my family ADORES the Harkins so so much, or it’s that this group is simply photogenic in every way. We became fast friends in 2020 when I made the choice to start homeschooling our kids. I found Kaila through mutual friends/photography/online homeschool groups. To know her is to love her. She has a way of making everyone feel accepted, is one of the most intentional Mamas I’ve met & we have an endless list of interests & beliefs in common. Her hubby John & my Brock have also built a genuine friendship. We are together monthly through nature hiking, Homeschool Co-Op, Dad’s club, field trips & fun-filled hangouts. Our kids personalities blend perfectly, which has been a delightful blessing!
I was honored when Kaila asked me to photograph her crew over the summer {She is also a talented photographer}! Her family came over to our farm for dinner, & we then headed out to venture through our bloomed sunflower field, chased kids in the tall grass of the future cow pasture, photographed around our 100 yr old barn, swung on the new rope swing & danced in front of vintage lace hanging from a tree. I could truly photograph the 5 of these sweet & silly souls for hours! The Harkins have been one of our greatest blessings in this new season of life we’ve entered. Because of them & who they’ve introduced to us, we have new community of friendship & support like never before. I had a hard time narrowing down my favorites from this DARLING sun-drenched session…enjoy my chosen images that filled with pure happiness! – Stefanie
