We’ve had the honor of documenting as a married team since 2005. Over 250 happy Brides & Grooms have invited us to photograph around the world for their destination weddings & local gorgeous Indiana venues. We believe wedding images should be timeless while evoking genuine feelings of happiness. Our photos display a consistently elegant editing style that doesn’t waver with trends. The investment includes fully edited high-res digital files. This allows clients to have full rights to enjoy their photos as much as possible!
Wedding day coverage documents the most important aspects of a wedding day as it unfolds. The getting ready photos, all the way through the open dance floor at the reception. Extensive pre-planning ensures our wedding timeline is complete months in advance, allowing adequate photo time & a STRESS FREE flow for our couples. Through the hundreds of weddings we have documented, Brock & I have mastered a wide range of lighting situations & worked with the most diverse couples imaginable. This has developed us into the adaptable, easy going & assertive photographers we are today. Photographers are one of the only vendors to follow a couple shortly after the engagement, into the entire planning process, work side by side on the wedding day & then be in contact the months following the big day. It’s so important to choose someone you trust, connect with & value. Marriage is one of the MOST important milestones in life, be sure to hire well! How we lend our expertise to create the most memorable & stress-free planning process for our couples…
First Step: Intro Call or Meeting
After you inquire, we will email back & forth to see if we’re a nice fit as your wedding photographers. Scheduling a phone consultation, in person meeting at a local coffee shop or a Zoom call will be the next step in getting to know one another.
Next Step: Booking & Planning
Once you’ve chosen Brock & I as your wedding photographers, we’ll send a personalized online booking portal. This includes a wedding contract, invoice for 50% of the package investment to reserve your date & questionnaires.
Within a few weeks of booking, clients complete their wedding & engagement questionnaires. The info allows us to suggest locations for the upcoming engagement session, along with the opportunity to get to know you better. Provided wedding details assist us in thoughtfully piecing together a full wedding day timeline. This helps tremendously throughout the planning process for our couples when booking other vendors & visualizing the flow of the big day. Our wedding industry expertise allows us to provide endless recommendations & ways to create a relaxed, stress free event that you will LOVE to remember!
We’ll be in contact through email many times prior to the wedding date. We’re always here upon request, to help guide you through big decisions. Check your inbox one month before your wedding for a reminder to complete the remaining 50% of your investment package. This may be paid online through your personal portal or via check. Three weeks prior to the special day is also when we will finalize your wedding timeline. Typically this can be done via email however I’m available to chat over the phone too.
Next Step: Engagement Session
A key part of our wedding client experience is the engagement session. It’s basically a practice round for the BIG day. The shoot gives you the opportunity to become comfortable in front of our cameras, get to know our easy-going personalities & learn how we direct our couples to effortlessly interact during posing. The lifestyle shoot is a 1-2 hour cuddle session that provides you with darling photos of your exciting current stage of life, while also allowing you to feel like photogenic naturals on the wedding day. After we pick a date for your shoot, I’ll send you tips on how to pick a meaningful location, as well as advice on outfit choices!
Engagement images are viewable & downloadable through a private online gallery within 2 weeks. Clients receive an average of 100+ high resolution, timelessly edited images to cherish. The session will remain active online in the same gallery as the future wedding images. Online viewing galleries are accessible for 1 year post wedding date.
Final Step: Wedding Day & Image Gallery
We’ll play a mixture of interactive & discreet roles throughout the wedding day. During the ceremony, dances & toasts, our goal is for you to hardly notice us as you steal glances at each other. Other moments such as getting ready & formal portraits, we’ll be in laid back control. Photographing candid moments, directing relaxed posed photos & making sure we keep everything on schedule while being a delight to work with every step of the way.
You’ll receive an online viewing & download gallery of your stunning wedding images with high resolution, edited photos 4 weeks after the wedding. On average, Brides & Grooms are gifted with 800-1,000 images from a 10 hour wedding day. You may also choose to order a personalized wedding album. Frequently Asked Questions
How far in advance do you book weddings?
My husband & I reserve wedding dates 3-18 months in advance. Prime midwest wedding dates land between May-October. We like to have as much notice as possible for inquiries. Engagement sessions are often booked 1-6 months out. Always feel free to email about your specific month or date to see what availability we may have open.
What equipment do you use? Do you always bring backup gear?
All of our equipment is professional Canon brand. Brock & I currently photograph on Canon 5D Mark 4 cameras. Our lenses are a variety of Canon premium glass lenses which include a mixture of 50mm, 35mm, 24-70mm & 70-200mm lenses on a wedding day. Portraits are shot with 50mm or 35mm lenses. My husband & I are always fully stocked on backup gear for every wedding day & sessions. Our cameras also photograph to 2 camera cards at once. This ensures that if one of our CF or SD cards became corrupt, we always have a backup of image files.
Do you create custom packages?
Yes. Depending on the date, coverage required, size of guest list, season location & specific needs, we may create a customized investment package for our clients. We only book a limited number of weddings per year, ensuring we are able to provide our couples with the most exceptional experience.
How did you get started in photography & how many weddings/sessions do you shoot each year?
I have always been drawn to photography & the way moments are frozen in time. Gazing over old family photos in albums when I was little, was a favorite pastime. My love of photos grew in highschool when I worked in yearbook class, documenting life as it unfolded. I then took photography courses at my local college, IUPUI, where I experienced film, darkroom, manual mode & composition. Digital was a fairly new concept in the early 2000s, however I bought my first professional digital camera in 2004. I’m self-taught in many ways when it comes to developing my shooting/editing style. My hubby Brock & I have been in constant learning mode ever since we got married in 2005 & started our ever evolving business the same year.
In the past, Brock & I would photograph 30+ weddings each year, with most including engagement sessions. However as seasoned pros, we now know less is more. Focusing our energy & talents on a smaller select group of clients, which allows us to be the best version of ourselves for them & our own family. I photograph portrait sessions weekly with a balanced calendar to ensure every client is adequately cared for & receives quality timeless images. Excellent customer service is of top priority for us! We ensure clients enjoy every aspect, from start to finish & mention us to their friends & family. Our business thrives on word of mouth referrals.
