I’d shine the power of LOVE more brightly.” I love this quote from a Grandmother, because it embodies so much of what we often forget to strive for while we are raising little ones. Even though, the seemingly little moments of slowness, playfulness, character, gentleness and love are what turn into to the most important values we can instill in our children for their future. It’s a lovely reminder throughout parenthood 🙂 🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍 This darling family has been such a treat to annually photograph over the past 3 years! It’s been fun to capture images that document just how much their kids have grow up in only a short amount of time. Thank you, Kristen for inviting me to capture all of the precious relationships, emotions and joy you share with your sweet hubby and all 5 children. You are raising a beautiful family together! Newfields Gardens | Booking Changes For 2025 I’ Newfields Gardens | Booking Changes For 2025 I’ve photographed around the GORGEOUS Newfields Gardens & Lily Mansion for 20 full years throughout my wedding & portrait career. It’ll forever be one of my favorite Indiana locations because of its classic BEAUTY! The Indianapolis Museum of Art has tightened their photography policies for 2025, making the pre-planning & ticket process more involved. I’m currently booking all Newfields Sessions now, for the remainder of the year because of the new entry availability being very limited. MY SESSION AVAILABILITY: My standard photography portrait session schedule is Monday-Thurdays during the week. Thursday is the ONLY evening during my normal availability that Newfields is open into “Golden Hour”. Mondays they are fully closed. Mornings are also an option at Newfields for me Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursdays too. However most families enjoy the evenings. The Indianapolis Museum of Art also starts decorating for Pumpkin Fest in September & then goes right into their Winter Lights event, so the gardens are only in bloom & open for sessions in April through early September each year! THE NEW CHANGES: Newfields has recently changed how they allow photographers to book online. A narrow time-block is now required to be chosen when scheduling, along with ONLY a limited amount of photographers/tickets allowed on the grounds during that short window of time. Going forward I’ll need to reserve a session timeframe 2 months in advance to ensure an open time-block is available for a morning or Thursday evening session. Thursday evenings always book up quickly too! Newfields photo passes are still an additional $50 investment when booking to cover admittance to the grounds. Newfields Gardens is always a sought after location for my current & future clients, so I wanted to send a little announcement to ensure that anyone wanting this gorgeous location in 2025 books with me now, so that I have time to reserve the date before the limited amount of passes are sold out. I’m looking forward to creating more stunning images for my darling clients around the Art Center in my 20th yr of photography!!! It’s been an honor ♥️
My Valentine for 23 years & forever… ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Celebrated 2+ decades of loving each other over this sweet weekend. I consider myself one of the most blessed women in the world because I get to stand by your side, @brockchilds . Your tender, protective & generous heart cherishes me so well. Our 3 kids will always know how a man should treat those he treasures, because of the way you respect & honor us. I thank God daily for the life we have gotten to build as teammates. What an adventure it’s been to get to grow up together for over half our lives! We don’t know adulthood without having one another to lean on. In a world that tells men that a faithful marriage & pouring their lives into their children isn’t worth the investment, know that it is quite the opposite when it comes to that lie. There is deep profound JOY that comes from true fatherhood. When lived out properly, the husband & father title will make a man feel like the richest & most blessed person in the world! 🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍 I had the honor of photographing this darling little 1yr old lady with her charming daddy this past summer. She is his first born baby & the LIGHT of his life. It was extra sweet to document the daddy-daughter relationship as they giggled, cuddled, learned to walk together, as they both smiled every time their eyes met, & the precious way her little arms reached up for him. Baby girl felt safe, loved & protected. These images are ones that Mom & Dad will cherish, every single day as their first daughter grows up!

We’re both new at this stage of life. * I’m living out my answered past prayers. Keep praying for your future parenting journey. * Their emotions are safe with me & so are mine. Sometimes all they need is a hug & a smile to remind them that you are always their safe space. * They’ve only lived in this big world or a short time. Everything they experience is brand new & can feel overwhelming. * There’s really no rush. Take is slow & give them time to transition from one place to another. * Hard moments don’t equal hard days. They’re simply situations to learn from, & to choose better emotional reactions tomorrow. * It may feel like nothing to me, but it feels like everything to them. Pause & soak in what brings them JOY. * Instead of yelling, choose to take a deep breath, get down on their level & whisper while adorning kind eyes. It redirects with gentle love & your littles will feel safe. * Instead of critiquing them, share more praises. * Apologize when you are wrong and ask for forgiveness. They always bring laughter, spunk & love. This past Fall, we met at one of my favorite new field locations in #zionsvilleindiana . It was a picture perfect evening with gorgeous Autumn 🍂 colors, a sun-drenched grassy pasture & tons of effortless cuddles. You would never know from looking at the images that we had toddler/baby tears through half the shoot…each image radiates the happiness these 4 share! It’s no secret that guys aren’t nearly as inte It’s no secret that guys aren’t nearly as interested in having their Senior pictures taken, as Senior girls are. Usually it’s their sweet Mamas who want a Senior Session to capture the big milestone, and the boy is just along for the ride 🙂 No matter the gender, photographing high school seniors is always fun! I give endless direction that results in effortless posing, I’ll have helped Moms pre-plan their son’s attire so there’s no stress on their end, we chat through location ideas prior to the shoot and Mamas always tag along on shoot day for support. High School Senior Sessions are relaxed, showcase the teens interests, guys feel at ease and I like to find backdrops that perfectly reflect the Senior’s special personality in this season of his life! This years family session took place during a winter sunset around the cute Christmas trees @dullstreefarm in Thorntown, Indiana. It was a chilly, blustery day November day, however you’d never know we were all freezing with red hands/cheeks and chattering teeth. What a beautiful sun-drenched evening spent together with darling past wedding clients. It’s an incredible honor to be a part of each joy-filled milestone in a couple’s story. I always have several poses of everyone “Looking at the camera”, however some of my favorite candid moments while photographing families with little kiddos will always be; The sound of children belly laughing while being chased or tickled by their parents silly games. Hand holding while walking together. My heart is giddy when dads effortlessly throw toddlers in the air & catch them with giant happy hugs unprompted.
